Ceremony for Being a Mature Age
Director:
Welcome to NN's coronation ritual! Dear NN, now that you have entered a mature age, you are the queen of your life. Treat yourself with respect and use the powers of a mature woman in a constructive way. The archetype of the Queen is Hera, the Goddess of cities and governments, she who rules civilizations. Hera carries the crown of all the towers and castles she rules. NN, are you ready to receive the Queen’s title and everything in it?
Celebrant:
I am.
Instructor:
So on behalf of all of us who know you and trust you, I will crown you with a mature crown, the best time of your life. Wear it every time you want to get in touch with your power!
Celebrant is crowned and the others applaud. On top of him are thrown flowers, hug. The friends greet example: Let the spirits indulged around you! Reign like a gentle queen! Never let your power isolate you from those you love and who love you!
The ceremony has been inspired by Rites of the Middle Age; Zsuzsanna E. Budapest; The Grandmother of Time, Harper & Row, San Francisco.
