Wise Woman Ceremony (56 + Years)
Implements Needed:
Gems or jewelry that represents this stage in life.
Women stand in a circle, the jewel rotates from hand to hand, it is blessed in silence. The object of the ceremony is called in, taken to a chair to sit on, and crowned.
Sing a song that celebrates this change in life to become a Wise Woman.
Director Says:
"Welcome to the wise age ceremony! Once the planet Saturn has made the second round on your birth chart, you are 56+ years old, (now a few years older.) This is the gateway to being the age of a wise woman. This age is not valued in our society. In ancient times, women of the wise age were considered stronger than young women. They were judges, mediators, big sisters. In the rituals, they sat in places of honor. Modern society has forgotten them, but we will not forget our history.
Today we celebrate A because she has come to a wise age. We want to give you a necklace with carnelian stone. The fire element contained in the orange-red carnelian brings new enthusiasm, creativity and going to life. It is a stone of joy in life and femininity. Keeping a stone on or near the body brings joy and activity to the body and mind. For women, it helps to connect with their own femininity and the resulting freedom, joy and power of life. (Or e.g. a purple gem / stone. Purple represents fame, happiness and hard work).
The jewelry is put on the celebrant's neck, ringed 56+ times.
Director:
We want to remind you that you are our dear sister, our teacher, and now the revered woman of the wise age of the Goddess, the Wise Woman.
Celebrant:
Says something about her life. I grew up as a.... Thank you to the Goddess for years past and future.
Song or Chant that fits this occasion.
All together:
May the Goddess wish you health, happiness and longevity!
Let's drink the cups, clap and hug.
Song or Chant that fits the occasion.
